While I agree with Bob about the type of people that send junk email,
I am disturbed to find it coming through this list. Under no circumstances
would I regard members of this group as candidates for the various
"get-rich-quick"
emails we seem to be getting. I delete them like everyone else. I know
attachments are stripped, so I do not worrry about viruses coming through
the
list. I am concerned with inappropriate email coming through to
organizations
with fairly strict email rules. I would hate to see users not sign up to be
part of the list because they were afraid of either junk or inappropriate
email.
Is there anything as list members we can do to stop this stuff?

I've been very lucky over the years regarding bulk email to my work email
address. Since I join the Mapinfo-L group I get lots of junk email. I
guess there is no way to stop the junk emails from getting through to the
MapInfo-L group. I really like the way the junk senders block a reply
requesting removal from their list. Show's you the type of people they are.
