Just to add a bit more to the pot.... when i click on make mappable.. my table is not listed in the listbox.
What makes the table come up in that Make Mappable listbox? Hi There, I might use this occasion to ask how many of you guys are acually seriouly using Oracle Spatial. For me, I am more an database developer for Ora spatial, MapInfo is just a hobby. To answer Doug, yes the mapinfo_mapcatalog and user_sdo_geom_metadata are a bit redunant. If the data is already sitting inOracle, the mapinfo_mapcatalog can be filled using the 'make mapable' button from lb DBMS-Panel. However, knowbody could tell me how construct the projection string in the mapinfo_mapcatalog. It is a bit different to the set coords string. I need to do a transform as my data is in long/lat but in 10^-7 Degree. So I have to account for that. Transform doesnt work here.
