Hi Cameron,

I've seen MI 7.0 use forever (many minutes) to open a workspace that 6.5 opens in a 
reasonable short time (some seconds).
Apparently there's some dumb behaviour in v7 when one uses several raster layers, 
perhaps if these are in different projections.

I don't know if this is the situation in your case, but there are problem.
And MICorp seems to be too preoccupied with .NET to release a patch that'll solve it.
