MapInfo Corp. has told me that they have changed the way seamless raster tables are handled. To a better job on showing this seamless raster table better they actual look at the single tiles visible in the current zoom.
Unfortunately this means that when a map is being created with "Map From..." in the workspace they also have a look at each single tile - more or less - in the seamless raster table and if there are many single tiles in this seamless table in may take a while. The thing you can do about it is to rewrite your workspace so that the seamless raster table isn't added until the zoom of the map has been changed to let's say 0.1 miles/meters/kilometers aor whatever unit you are using. I have created such a needfull little tool that every time you save a workspace this will be "converted" to a special fast workspace - or a normal speed workspace. If anyone has interest in this utility I can upload it to DirectionsMag ?
