oh, just remembered i made something like this ages ago. once upon a time it was deemed too costly to have mapinfo installed on more than a couple computers, so i made a program that would do this and create PNG files out of each region and name them with a reference grid. then i had a form in Access which would read these files onto a form and make a basic mapping system. the thing was so fast, it kicked ass, but then we bought mapinfo for the rest of us and i forgot about it.
if i find it i'll let you know. -----Original Message----- From: Bill Thoen [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, 4 July 2003 1:53 AM To: MapInfo-L Subject: MI-L Map Book software? Does anyone know if there's any tools out there that can automatically divide a regional map up into a grid of smaller regions for printing map books (like the street map books)? -- - Bill Thoen ------------------------------------------------------------ GISnet, 1401 Walnut St., Suite C, Boulder, CO 80302 tel: 303-786-9961, fax: 303-443-4856 http://www.gisnet.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------------------------------- List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message number: 7486 --------------------------------------------------------------------- List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message number: 7513
