Hello John
When I change directory for my tables (for running them from a CD etc.)I
use "Replace" in EditPlus 2 (http://www.editplus.com). This shareware
editor can have several *.wor files open simultaneously. A replace can
be done on all open files, so moving from one computer/directory to
another which I guess will give a general change in all *.wor files, can
be done in 5 min. This has saved me a lot of time.
To run your *.wor from a CD, remember to set all layers to "not
editable" otherwise they do not open.

Best wishes
Reno

Subject: MI-L Workspace file path problems

Greetings!

I just transferred all my data etc to a newer computer and have run into

a pathing problem with my files when I open up a workspace. When I
attempt to open a workspace, MapInfo (V7.5) wants me to indicate where
certain files are. Now not all of my files are in the same directory,
but rather are filled by project designations.

Is there an easy or less time consuming method to re-establish the
workspaces rather than going through each one and pointing to each file
and re-saving the workspace? If all the required files are present, why

can't MapInfo seek and acquire the files itself?

Any comments would be appreciated.
