MI-L Digitizer Setup

Has anyone come across this message when setting up a digitizer:  "To
use the digitizer you must use Digitizer Setup to enter control points
that do not lie in a straight line"?  This seems to happen only when
trying to register a map using degrees.  Any ideas out there?
