Hello Simon, You might take a look at our Geographic Transformer Extension for MapInfo or the full standalone version of the Geographic Transformer 5.2. Both of these programs can convert SIDs to other formats (JP2, ECW, Tiff, others) while maintaining the georeferencing, among their other capabilities. If you have many to convert you might be interested in the batch processing offered in the full version. More information on both is available at our website: Standalone version: http://www.bluemarblegeo.com/products/transformer.php Extension for MapInfo: http://www.bluemarblegeo.com/products/transformerext.php
Both products offer an evaluation mode that allows for processing one image. If I may be of any assistance, feel free to contact me.

Subject: [MI-L] SID Format
Aerial Photos - Convert?
I have been sent a bunch of .SID format
aerial photos. Anyone know how
I can translate these into a more common format without losing there spatial reference? I am not familiar with this file type. Thanks in advance. ********************************************************************************** This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential, and may be subject to legal privilege, and are intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
