<How about the fact that each time I open a particular workspace it loses
<the default settings I've previously defined for raster imagery that
<I've already modified the contrast/brightness for. No big deal when
<it's only one or two files, but when I have over ten ortho-photos in a
<workspace, the amount of time it takes to re-adjust the default image
<style is a pain.
<
<Actually, it does save image style preferences for one set of ortho's we
<have, but I haven't had the time to investigate what the difference
<between those files and the others are yet (maybe an original image vs.
<grayscale issue ??)

The display settings for a raster image are stored directly and only in
the .TAB file, not in the workspace. Those setting will be applied whenever
that TAB file is opened. In order to have multiple display settings
for the same raster image, you need to have multiple TAB files that
reference it.

Whenever the raster image is opened directly, instead of as a TAB file,
the new TAB file is created with the default display settings: color,
brightness=50, and contrast=50.

Perhaps one of these factors is causing your problem. Either the settings
are being changed for some other use of the raster image, or the workspace
you are using is opening the raw raster image and creating a new TAB
file every time.
