That's pretty clever, good use of exaggeration to make your point. Just in case somebody might think you are accurately describing anything, however....... Nobody here that I recall denied that there was a Chinese Revolution achieving power in 1949, one that expelled or eliminated the bourgeoisie. What I've argued, most recently with comrade Waistline, is that the transition from an agricultural to an industrial economy was not accomplished by that revolution. I have also argued that agricultural productivity is still shackled by the relations of land tenure, size of holdings, etc. And I've argued that the "opening" to the West in 1972 was one product of Mao's Cultural Revolution-- and that marks an historic shift leading us to Deng's 4 reforms, not in the 1990s, but in 1979, a mere 7 years after the opening. [And no, I am not stating that China should not have "opened," should not have allowed FDI]. PS.
