I'm not suggesting Avatar is more important than the Fifth International, as
John implies. Adams suggest that discussing the Fifth International should
have a priority. That is the only source of counterposing these things.

I have no interest in participating in the discussion on Avatar because I
haven't seen it, but neither have any of us really seen the Fifth
International. But there was nothing about the discussion of Avatar that
kept John and Adam from discussing the Fifth International or is preventing
it now. While both complain that others haven't discussed the Fifth
International, neither of them has even started to do so. Adam has written
insistently on what it is not: "The Fifth International isn't a cheering
squad, on what basis could that be fairly claimed?"

Of course, I never said that it was "a cheering squad," because it doesn't
exist.

It is nothing, at this point, but a blank slate in each of our minds on
which we can each paint our own Sistine Chapels.

When there's something material there, I suspect that its discussion here
will be unavoidable.
