Comrade Hillier,

If (according to you} "he truth is that there is not such a broad layer of
militant workers at this time", then it seems that the Marxist-Leninist
parties and organizations would like to work with already "militant" workers
instead of making them "militant" through their leading revolutionary theory
and practice!

Hi Charles.

The truth is that there is not such a broad layer of
militant workers at this time. Also, much of the
militancy is in white collar occupations, especially
through Unison the public sector union. Here it is
quite often the SWP or Socialist Party (formerly
Militant Tendency) which has a better implantation.

But ultimately I do not know why the SLP has not
functioned better as a pole of attraction. It could do
more, I am sure. The potential is certainly there
given Arthur's track record.

For communism

Jim
