I can't help wondering how much looting and burning there really is compared with the big riots of the not-so-distant past? One Oh Horrors video I found on YouTube showed the same three ruined Kenosha buildings from different angles for fifteen minutes. Also, how much of it is being done by rightwingers trying to start the Race War? Or the Kenosha police themselves--a hog-rotten, scheming gang of murderers if ever there was one. And what about provocateurs?
One of my most vivid memories of Chicago in 1968 is the presence of police provocateurs. One in particular was wearing madras bermuda shorts with long sideburns in an effort to blend in--very groovy. He was urging all manner of mayhem. Maybe they've learned something in the half-century plus since you and I were young Maggie.
