what I stated was that the Green Party did not try to have a Teamsters for Howie group - I never stated or implied that anyone expected that union's top-down controlled leadership, to endorse Hawkins and Walker. Just that the Green Party, had no orientation to even organize a Teamsters for Howie - or even better a Teamsters for Howie and Angela. or spend real effort in reaching out to rank and file individual teamster members. No Teamster Union locals meetings were leafletted, to my knowledge - and no separate website set up specific for Teamsters for Howie & Angela. And also a reality - Hawkins ran and did not care about taking votes away from Biden - and that risked electing Trump. Hawkins could not know what the eventual vote would be for Biden or Trump. He even accepted republican operatives help to try and get on those Swing State ballots, knowing their purpose was to diminish the Biden vote. Those are two simple FACTS and the rest of the academic blah blah blah - is just blah blah blah. Politically, I had much respect for Howie Hawkins prior election efforts in New York State. He was impressive, as was his efforts to turn the GP into a democratic run membership group, unlike the small state cliques of mainly present petit bourgeois. But when he ran for president in 2020 and stating in public media, and watched him on CSPAN state, that Trump was not a fascist threat - I realized he did not care about reality, only the GP vote total, in striving for an impossibility. One did not have to read and understand the Marxists classics, to identify and recognize the real threat of Trump, if re-elected, in 2020. Howie Hawkins ignored the real threats of a Trump dictatorship. Why? And how Trump re-elected, would help address the other real threat of Climate Change - has never been explained by the mainly pacifist Green Party groupings?
