Would I be out of place here to point out the mutual aid programs we in the PSL do in poor, and working class, neighborhoods all over the country? I would invite you to go on to social media,Facebook in particular, and look at the efforts the PSL have done. The Green Party has a couple of hurdles they have yet to overcome. One ,of course, is the stigma of being a spoiler for the Democrats, but equally as harmful is the problem of isolation and elitism. I was a very active member of the GP for a number of years, and our branch was a small, enclosed, elitist clique of upper class/upper middle class liberals. Liberals, not leftists. Unlike the PSL, we never grew our membership. As someone who was poor, and disabled, I always felt out of place, and was where I didn't belong. While this may not be a party-wide problem, I know it is an issue with some branches. If the GP wants to grow, I would suggest they both improve their outreach among the poor, and working classes, those who feel the brunt of the effects of the eco-destruction, and climate change caused by global capitalism. I also believe the GP should be building alliances with other socialist parties. The left in this country is too small, and too divided, there is strength in solidarity and numbers. Howie Hawkins ,have you considered having the GPUSA officially becoming a part of ANSWER Coalition? I know Jill Stein has spoken at some of ANSWER's online events. > > -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group.
