Louis, This article from the CPUSA is quite good ,but like you,I could never support the CPUSA ,or the DSA for that matter ,because of their support for the Democratic Party. There are other Marxist parties besides either of these capitalist lackey organizations you can join or support ,but that's a different discussion, for another time. The article raises an interesting point, one that a lot of women who consider themselves feminists ,but oppose trans acceptance may not have considered ,that being by judging trans women according to their biological sex at birth, you are supporting the perpetuation of the established patriarchy ,whether you are aware of this or not. This is an issue the left should have confronted back in the days of Stonewall .and second wave femininism. Something tells me the left might have been more receptive to discussing trans rights fifty years ago ,than we are now. There are those on the left ,who have been influenced by the encroachment of the reactionary right in the last 40+ years ,whether we want to admit it or not. Another issue not mentioned here ,is how do CIS gender communists/leftists discuss gender, with our trans comrades. I know I'm not the only one who has been put in some awkward situations with transgender comrades, after making a comment, based on essays ,or papers we have read, from supposedly "enlightened" leftists. The divide here is still quite great.
