I feel like Michael Yates 99 percent of the time but I am so filled with
loathing for the existing system that unless I speak out against it, I
couldn't live with myself. We are like characters in a novel, actually
three characters merged together: Sisyphus from Greek mythology and Don
Quixote. I've been at this for 53 years and have had the rock fall back
on me dozens of times while I was tilting at windmills. So what else was
I supposed to do after watching TV news in 1966 with B-52s bombing
Vietnamese villages. My plans were to write the great American novel but
because of that imperialist war I ended up as a computer programmer by
day and a Trotskyist by night. And so it goes...
