David, I mentioned that protest in my earlier response and being over a million, as examples of Vietnam Antiwar Movement having even larger participant number than 400,000. BUT there was also not one protest demonstration as the June 12, 1982 - but a day of local actions as the October 15, 1969 National Moratorium WHICH WAS VIETNAM AND LARGER IN PARTICIPANTS.
Fred Halstead wrote a pamphlet on a little mentioned but historical important antiwar movement - that occurred in 1946-1947 - which was also massive in numbers. It was the Bring The Boys Home Movement. It forced the Truman Administration to send the troops in the Pacific Region to return to their homes and families. I have in my collection from that Antiwar Movement the postcard - that flooded the White House. The capitalist rulers do not want people to know about that successful antiwar movement which prevented more U. S. military bodies aiding Chang Kai Shek against Mao. The same is the case with the Pentagon and president Obama led effort "to rewrite the history of the U. S. War on Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia (Kampuchea).
