Unfortunately, there is still a widespread acceptance in the West of Israeli propaganda which quickly portrayed the rapes as orchestrated by Hamas rather than incidental assaults by undisciplined Palestinian fighters and young males who followed them through the breached wall into bordering Israeli settlements.
