WIthout knowing much of the story, I consider it a tragedy that the nation of Yugoslavia which was put together by Tito's partisans after World War II fell apart after Tito's death --
I have wondered (and asked experts about it) from time to time whether different ethnicities CAN live together in full cooperation or whether in fact, one group (White Europeans in the US for example) has to dominate and oppress the other groups. I don't know if Tito's Yugoslavia was dominated by Serbs --- Tito himself was a Croat--- We do know that for all its much vaunted efforts to raise up the "national minorities" the Soviet Union was dominated by "Great Russian Chauvinism" --- So are "multi-nataional, multi-ethnic, multi-racial" democracies POSSIBLE given "human nature"? I sure wonder ...
