The reference, of course, was not to the trade union leaders but to " many of their members" among whom "Trump is gaining ground" because "they blame Biden and the Democrats rather than corporate capitalism for the inflated cost of housing, food, education, and other essentials which is eroding their real wages." The trade union leadership with very few exceptions praises rather than blames Biden and the Democrats with whom it remains firmly aligned.
