Thank you.  And note that whether a list allows non-members to post is only a 
configuration option on most mailing lists.  I recently configured a Google 
Groups account for a local activist organization who wanted non-members to be 
able to send mail to an info group, there are also orientation and community 
groups that allow non-members to post to them.  It's not uncommon.
