Gandall mis-reads everything. The distinction between an ideological leader, Sunkara, and the rank and file activists of DSA is an ABC of left politics. He lies that if one scorns the former, one scorns the latter. And Gandall holds on to his smear that young adults who have a favorable view of communism are merely keyboard pounders on social media. There is a range of activity among people of all views. Gandall has no evidence to single out those who have a favorable view of communism. All this garbage is an attempt to evade the change in views over time. Twenty-five years ago, a favorable view of socialism was rare, but it surged by the time of Sanders' presidential run. Now the next step emerges: some people get beyond democratic socialist reformism. This horrifies Gandall. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group.
