True, although no historical events should be deemed "inevitable", I've 
frequently stated that in retrospect we can see why the Russian, Chinese, and 
other revolutions on the periphery succumbed because of the failure of the 
revolutions to begin or at least to spread to the more developed core 
capitalist countries.

To be clear, I wasn't playing  a "credentials game".  I was replying to your 
statement that  my understanding was not informed by practice and expressed 
skepticism about your own political activity, having agreed with you that 
practice in the wider movement is a  relevant consideration in weighing the 
opinions expressed in this and other Marxist forums.
