I have a WinNT 4.0 NT box and a linux 5.2 masq server. I have the
WinNT set to 192.168.1.2 and the linux host set to 192.168.1.1
I cannot for the life of me get my computers to talk to each ther.
I have my WinNT box assigned the IP of 192.168.1.2 and my linux host is
192.168.1.1
Ive quadruple checked the numbers and I know their right on both
machines. I also have both subnet masks set to 255.255.255.0. I can't
even get the machines to ping each other. Got any ideas?

p.s. yes, I can ping the local machines whn I am am on them.
and if it matters I'm using a crossover cable, but that shouldn't
matter
