Hi Pedro,
I'm sorry, but the OPF is a completely different type of optimization
problem and the code it uses for evaluating the constraints would
certainly not be directly applicable to the state estimation problem.

Hi Ray,
The part of the code that is spefic to the 30-bus system seems to be
valid to 14-bus also cause it also have the reference bus on bus 1
and also the branch 1 and 2 are the only two connected to bus 1. So
that doesn´t cause any problem.
But the point of this mail now is: where do you do the correction of
the generation constraints (in which file) of the opf ? Cause I
hopping that with a copy-paste it will solve the problem no (it may
request some adjustments obviously)?
Thanks again and wishes of a nice weekend
Pedro

Hi Pedro,
First, you should know that the state estimation code is essentially
proof-of-concept code which is included in case it could be helpful
to someone. It is very basic and not very thoroughly tested. In any
case, I'm pretty sure that it does not even take into consideration
any of the generator limits and if I remember some of the code (in
state_est.m) is specific to the 30-bus system.

Good afternoon,
I´m having the following problems:
1st - on the case 14, I changed the limit (PMax) on the generation
bus 2 on the gen matrix to 75 MW. When I solve the state estimation
problem (runse('case14')) this limit is not always meet and in some
simulations I got more than 100MW. Near 75 would be acceptable
cause state estimation isn´t exact so it may have a little more
than 75MW, but 100MW is 33% more than the limit. I also changed the
initial state to the flat start (it seems to get more often results
closer to the limit).
2nd - I notice is that the final results in some generators (only
on the ones on the buses 3, 6 and 8) the active power (P) goes
bellow 0, and also in some loads (normally on bus 7). This should
mean that the generators were acting as a load and the load as a
generator. This issue I checked in the program without any changes
and it also happened.
Thanks for the help and best wishes to all,
Pedro Landolt
