Dear people,
this day we discovered, that gstreamer (and thus matterhorn) delivers
bad results on one of our machines (at least I hope its only this
machine). We run MH 1.0 on Ubuntu 10.4 LTS
and have the vga2usb-3.24.8.4-2.6.32-25-generic-x86_64.tbz epiphan drivers
loaded.
gst-launch pipelines sometimes work very good for some seconds (might
be like 3 seconds, or even 20 seconds, but inevitably and
suddenly at some point (there is no pattern as far as I can see) stop
to work and deliver new frames only every 5 seconds if at all.
Processing power is at 1%, and the gst-launch does not show up in the
list, as soon as the pipeline "breaks?".
What might be the culprit? The drivers? Broken epiphan device?
Sorry to bother you again; things are getting thight here atm, we need
to get things up and running robust asap.
