And if the release manager didn't ask on list, nobody knows hat he needs help - even if somebody wrote several times to list that he would be happy to work as a volunteer.

There a bugs that could be excused but not a release documentation that only copied from trunk and still contains the wrong SVN path. We could go on this way the whole day but we would have no benefits than a more or less entertaining flame war on list.

We should look forward to find processes that get's more consensus in the community to get more support for a release. And those processes should fit to the needs of Matterhorn, my opinion is, that in past that was not always the case.

I fixed also some issues, but I had not enough time to check all
documents. I have the strong opinion, that we have a QA problem (or
some more). The Release can't go in the wild when the release docs
were not QA'ed. The release manager should ensure this. Would be good
to know why this didn't happened and what we can do that it won't
happen again.

Nor it's reasonable that a couple of adopters think they have a 1.2
but run trunk. Is it dangerous? Don't know.

Thanks, Greg - I just did that for OS X and Linux installation
pages. Please double-check.
One final edit: On
http://opencast.jira.com/wiki/display/MHDOC/Install+Source+OS+X+V1.2
do a find and replace forhttp://opencast.jira.com/svn/MH/trunk
and replace it withhttp://opencast.jira.com/svn/MH/tags/1.2.0/

Should I also find/replace for
http://opencast.jira.com/wiki/display/MHDOC/Install+Across+Multiple+Servers+V1.2?
There are 4 instances of "matterhorn_trunk" on that page as well.
Ah, good catch. Yes that page should be done as well.

Thanks!

I made this change here

and here

Can someone please verify that it's correct now?
Looking closer I see that *both* still reference
matterhorn_trunk rather than 1.2.0. Michelle, can you do a
search and replace for matterhorn_trunk, replacing it with 1.2.0?

G

Thanks!

Shouldn't the line

cp
-rf /opt/matterhorn/matterhorn_trunk/docs/felix/* /opt/matterhorn/felix/

be replaced by

cp
-rf /opt/matterhorn/1.2.0/docs/felix/* /opt/matterhorn/felix/
Quite correct. Adam or Michelle, can one of you change this
please?

G

or?
