Hi,
Edmore from UCT proposed a pre-population of the input fields with data
from the series and provided even a patch for this:

I consider that this is a great idea. But I remember that we had a
discussion about this feature in in the past already and some people had
concerns that this would lead to bad metadata, as much of the data will
be simply copied instead of filled in correctly.
I would still recommend from our experience here in Osnabrück that we
add this feature, as I would find it usefull. Is someone against adding
this to the next release?
