I am currently testing a code change to the capture agent where it won't send
status updates if the status is upload finished. By that point the admin ui
looks like it no longer cares and that should cut down severely on the traffic
between the capture agent and the cores. I am also going to test adding a new
state push event which will broadcast successful ingests, capture errors and
manifest error states every day or so (will make it configurable) which should
cut down on the remaining "noisy" states that never go away.
