The spac version isn't current. (7.3) and the i386 version is the live evaluation versions, which is a version that's meant to be run by booting from a cd drive and doesn't install.
you used to be able to get iso's of older releases or the non boxed versions (ie not x86 or ppc, but even they have dried up) go here: http://www.suse.de/uk/private/download/suse_linux/ and read the important notes!!! You can eitehr download it and install it, or install over the net. no isos for you! just for paying customers. I feel this is just nasty to dial up users like myself who would rather download a couple of isos (even though it is a pain) rather that guessing at what i need or trying to install it over the net. images often appear in the linux warez (what a concept!) newsgroup though, suse gets away with this by bundling some commercial stuff on the isos. mmmmm nasty. although it's only a small niggle and could moan things about pretty much every distro if i had to ;-) k. *********** REPLY SEPARATOR *********** On 20/10/2002 at 20:40 Rob wrote: >I'm not sure what you are referring to (you really mixed up your their, >they're and there's!!), but you can get SuSE iso's over at LinuxISO.org. >There's even a Sparc version there for download, but I wasn't that >impressed >by it. > >Rob > >----- Original Message ----- >From: "Kyle Kinsey" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: "MaX List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Sent: Sunday, October 20, 2002 2:44 PM >Subject: Re: suse? > > >Yep, suse was the first linux i tried!!!!
