Mandrake is decent... if you like everything and the kitchen sink 
installed. One of the reasons I really like Debian is the base install is 
around 50 megs and you can choose what to install very specifically. I 
personally cancel out of the dselect it tosses you into install and apt-get 
install things as I need them. Works great. I'm currently serving about 100 
megs of stuff (Mac archive, in fact) on a 250 meg HD with Debian on a 
Quadra 605. With space left over. I'm also running telnet and ftp on the 
same machine for internal admin.

I don't think you can even install Mandrake in 250 megs :)
