I've been trying to use MacX on and off for a long time now, but have
obviously missed something on the Linux side. I'm running RedHat 7.3
on a PC and have an LCIII connected via crossover ethernet. Netatalk
works fine, but with MacX I get an immediate Winsock error 10061
(which as far as I can tell means connection refused) when I try and
send a command. I have put the LC's IP number in xhosts and given it
'all' access in hosts.allow. Hosts.deny is empty. Is this something
to do with rsh or rexec (which I know nothing about !) or could it be
because I'm using gdm (I think,as I use gnome and kde). All the info
I've found talks about xdm. As you may have guessed, all this X stuff
is new and confusing to me !

Any help to get me past this initial stumbling block, gratefully received !

cheers, Paul
