Hi,
I understand that. But my question is regarding the following scenario :
Suppose I have disk space of 200 Mb left and my MAXDATADEVSPACES is defined
as 5 and I want to allocate all this 200 Mb to one data volume.(i.e. I
assume this counts as 1 dev space). Here the MAXDATADEVSPACES will not
affect since thats only the second data devspace that i am adding and I can
add upto 5 data devspaces. The question is : will the entire disk space of
200 MB be allocated or will the system warn me that it cannot allocate the
entire 200 MB.
Thanks,
-Ripin.

database size in 7.4.0.27 in case the db gets nearly full. The answer that I
found was running the dbmcli with the config_set option to set the autoext
flag to true. Does anyone know how much can the database extend
automatically ? I mean does it extend till the entire disk fills up or there
is a limit before that ?
