Hi Joe!

We're running here NTP on all SAP DB/MaxDB-Servers without any known
problems. But you should take care of

a) Daylight-Saving-Time (this could be a problem maybe)
Our productive SAP R/3 systems - running with MaxDB - are shut down for the
period of DST-changes. There is also a SAP note for this issue.
Test instances of SAP DB (for internal applications) are NOT stopped during
this period. But I don't know if there were any missing records. But
actually no developer complained about missing records. Okay - normally they
don't work on Sunday at 02:00 AM.

b) Time hopping
You should verify, that your time-source is ALWAYS reachable, stable and
correct :-). For more information about this issue: http://www.ntp.org.

Hope this helps a bit...

Bye
Chris
