No, I was wrong with Mayavi releases. I guess I have extended the release of TraitsBackendQt-3.6.0.tar.gz to Mayavi as well, which is no true. Sorry for the confusion. I've tried to install Mayavi in a new virtualenv, using $ pip install Mayavi[app]==3.4.1 but it doesn't work. the Mayavi folder on pipy looks empty: http://pypi.python.org/packages/source/M/Mayavi/ However, I'm happy to move forward to series 4.1.0 as soon the two issues are solved.
