At Illumina, our goal is to apply innovative sequencing and array technologies to the analysis of genetic variation and function, making studies possible that were not even imaginable just a few years ago. Every single day at Illumina we have the opportunity to do once-in-a-lifetime work. We are transforming human health. We are making science fiction a reality. The work we do is exciting, challenging. The energy is dynamic, the growth is fast, and the adrenaline is off the scale. Learn more about internship and new career opportunities working with a team that's setting the pace and taking innovation to a whole new level. All students are welcome. Research Opportunity at UCSF Prof. Robert Edwards (UCSF Neurology) is looking for a student with a strong computational background to work part-time on an ongoing research project this academic year. The student will join a project in the laboratory focused on the kinetics of synaptic vesicle release. The technique involves fluorescent false neurotransmitters (FFNs) that allow us to observe the fusion of individual vesicles in live cells. We are specifically looking for a student who can help design an algorithm capable of detecting these events automatically, streamlining data analysis. This is a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of neuronal cell biology and computation. Contact bradley.hel...@ucsf.edu ASAP for more information and application instructions.
