Though I use fickr for personal (family photos blogging etc )
IMHO
I have not used it for work storage or sharing,, I do think you can lock 
down files from general viewing.(good point)
But I think since flickr whacks down the size of photo files to match their 
specs,, I think they would not be good for press.
