Don't forget also thatyou can not make a digital copy of an MD from an MD
copied digitally from a CD or other digital source, such as a DAT. So it
seems that including the digital output would be useless.

Actually, Elektor sells the SCMS copybit eliminator, which allows digital copies of
digital copies.
They are technically illegal in the US, but I haven't heard of any cases on the
subject. The FBI hasn't come knocking on my door yet!
