Wow.
Guys, I have to thank you for your replies and questions and answers and
also slight arguments starting.
This is great.
I mean I thought the R55 was one the best players. But now I am having
doubts about it. I think that I am going to have to investigate a little
further in the availability of new MD recorder players. Though in London the
type and range of players out are vary different to the ones out in U.S and
Japan. There are just so many to choose from.
I always keep my eyes peeled at the www.minidisc.org site as it has got many
players etc listed and pictures too.
My 702 just gave me too many problems.
One major default I found was the shutter when inserting an MD.
It sometimes just stayed open when you ejected the MD and would not return
to its closed sate. This occurred quite a bit and I was really P***ed off.
UTOC errors, Not reading discs correctly and just too many to count.
Ok, I have been thinking about Panasonic, Sony and maybe Aiwa...mmmmmm.
Thanks a lot gang.
Bye :) be cool.

I think he misread something. The one I had only had digital optical
input. I don't know of any portables that have digital output.
