This may not be the same thing, but: We've had name resolution problems in Meditech where a pc's IP used to belong to another pc and at the sign-on the other pc's name is displayed. Charles A. The meditech-l web site is MTUsers.com ====================================== Hello Lr's, Has this ever happened to you where the name that you assigned to a PC suddenly changed to another name (as seen on the MEDITECH log-on screen right after the time, pls see below) without anyone changing it manually? This problem has occurred in the past where the IT guys assured me that they did not change anything manually. I gave them the benefit of the doubt then. Last week it happened again which I reported to MEDITECH. They told me that they never heard this problem before and was advised to wait till it happens again. My concern is the impact on the patient care. We had a near missed where lab did not get the label because the "new" PC name is not set-up in the LIS Device Dict. Medical Information Technology, Inc.
