We currently run a copy of our MPI file and store it on a server so that anyone who would need to locate a MRN would have access to it (i.e., MR personnel, registration personnel). If the network is down, we can also burn that to a CD for access. Printing on paper is a thing of the past for us (thank goodness!). We are also in the middle of reviewing our MR downtime procedures to redefine our MR processes. I'd love to hear what other sites are doing as well.
