IAMAIK, www.meditechtalk.com has no affiliation at all with Meditech the company, and is merely a place to discuss that company's product (and others I'm sure). Therefore, you shouldn't be worried about Meditech censoring anything bad, good, or indifferent in reference to Meditech the product. Furthermore, to be "banned" from that website would merely mean that if you became "banned" that you wouldn't be able to post anything on the website and possibly access member-only areas, not that you couldn't view the information in the public access areas there, and this would affect meditechtalk.com only, and nowhere else. Who's to say you couldn't even re-register under a different email address and still have access to the member-only areas. All messages should be posted in plain text. HTML will be converted to attachments. The meditech-l web site is MTUsers.com ====================================== I registered for the web site, and poked around a little. The thing that worries me is that someone who is a Meditech person is reading and approving/ editing messages before posting. Just how much editing and censorship might go on? Will the messages about problems be filtered out? And, the FAQ also mentions something about being "banned". Otherwise, I am willing to try anything that might improve my understanding of the system or help me do things more efficiently. The meditech-l web site is MTUsers.com ====================================== I just saw the reference to www.MeditechTalk.com in another message, so naturally I checked it out. First, let me make it clear that I'm not affiliated in any way with either the Meditech-L list or the MeditechTalk web site, so what I have to say is my opinion and mine alone. I'm also not sending this to the L to start anything or cause trouble, but the L is our primary tool for communication and I wanted to share my observations with all of you. The Meditech-L references on MeditechTalk struck me as negative and unnecessary. I quote: "If you were tired of receiving HUNDREDS of emails every day from a certain List, then this site is for YOU! Instead of searching THOUSANDS of DISCONNECTED emails and messages, you can search through a neatly organized website!" In a survey on the Home page, the first two answers to the question "Why will you join the Meditech Talk community?" are "Cannot find anything on the L-List" and "My In Box is too full of L-List messages". I couldn't find any responsible parties' names on the web site, so I don't know who has created it but it might be a good idea. I don't like the impression of competition between a web site and a list, though. I don't like the impression of 'negative campaigning' that these comments give. Huh. I've still been poking around on the web site and I do see that the site admin has a web site listed: Website: http://www.RPhInformatics.com. And . . . the original reference to MeditechTalk came from [EMAIL PROTECTED] So I guess RPHInformatics is the creator/owner/operator of MeditechTalk. And . . . RPHInformatics.com is still "under construction". Curiouser and curiouser. . . Julia Julia F.
