We have been putting the NUI on all of new installs for a while now, and
will be removing 3.x from current installs shortly. The NUI colors can be
adjusted via the Windows appearance in the Display Control Panel if your
users have access to it. I have found an issue with the 4.20d NUI though.
When we upgrade some machines from the 4.18 to 4.20d, you cannot see any
printing on the screen. I have a case opened now with Meditech and they are
working on it. At first they felt that it was part of the Windows colors,
but all of our Users cannot get to the display control panel and the colors
are set to Windows Default upon log on.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Meditech and the NUI 4.20 problems

Hello all, I'm posting this on behalf of a couple of our Analysts here at
Saratoga Hospital.

"We are in the process of having our users test Meditech's NUI 4.20 with the
anticipation of removing the old 3.x version in the next few months. Most of
the complaints we are receiving are related to the colors of the menus and
lookups. Users are complaining of eye strain and headaches because things
just don't stand out like the colors provided in the older versions.

Can anyone tell us if you experienced the same problems and how you handeled
it with your users?"

If you have any comments and wish to respond directly to someone instead of
broadcasting to the "L", please email

either Nan Till    <BLOCKED::mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
[EMAIL PROTECTED] or Mark Pidgeon [EMAIL PROTECTED]
<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Thank you,

Scott White
