I have not found a usable open source comprehensive Flash tool set. Hell, I can't even find a usable open source Flash *browser plugin*. I suppose there are patents, etc., that prevent such things from being built. I think Apple is right on this one - Flash should die in a fire. ;-)

Don't forget gnash, http://www.gnashdev.org/   In current form, it may
or may not be sufficient for the needs at hand.  And Rob would certainly
be pleased to find funding to make it even better.
