I'm not sure this is the case for the particular posters you are referring to, but I have worked places where that stuff was automatically added by the email server and there wasn't anything you could do about it :-/

Setting aside the hilarity of putting a warning about confidentiality at the *bottom* of a message, as well as the interesting question of what due diligence would require one to do in an attempt to "delete all copies" of a digital message routed via a mailserver, Meego is an open community and I believe that all mailing list traffic should be clearly open for all to read. There is a time and a place for rules and for legal words, in both the rules and code of conduct for the Meego community (does one exist?) and in the FOSS licenses that cover the core Meego code and community-supported software. Irrelevant legalese in an email sig is off-putting and inappropriate in the context of an FOSS project's mailing lists.
