Didn't see this in the online docs, but the repos for various distros
have been added:
http://repo.meego.com/tools/repo/
http://repo.meego.com/tools/repo/Debian_5.0/
...sudo apt-get install packaging-tools
Thanks Sean for providing those useful links !
Without surprise the syslinux_3.85_all.deb is in conflict with the
official Debian syslinux package. The version string without the ':' let
dpkg think that it's a older version rather than a new one:
cube:/home/jcdr/try/meego/debian_5.0# dpkg -i syslinux_3.85_all.deb
dpkg - warning: downgrading syslinux from 2:3.71+dfsg-5 to 3.85.
dpkg: regarding syslinux_3.85_all.deb containing syslinux:
syslinux-common conflicts with syslinux (<< 2:3.71+dfsg-4)
syslinux (version 3.85) is to be installed.
dpkg: error processing syslinux_3.85_all.deb (--install):
conflicting packages - not installing syslinux
Errors were encountered while processing:
syslinux_3.85_all.deb
Others packages seem to install correctly, even if mic2 raise this:
cube:/home/jcdr/try/meego/debian_5.0# dpkg -i mic2_0.17_all.deb
(Reading database ... 248677 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace mic2 0.17 (using mic2_0.17_all.deb) ...

Compiling /var/lib/python-support/python2.4/mic/appcreate/nand.py ...
File "/var/lib/python-support/python2.4/mic/appcreate/nand.py", line 282
finally:
^

Anyway this solve some early issue on Debian Lenny, but I still face the
#450 bug, that seem to be python yum related.
