For some desciption from Adhyas, that should be attributed to wrongly generated bootable usb disk, please follow wan shang's suggestion, meanwhile, mic-image-writer doesn't care the order/name of your device node, it is dynamic.
For Karan's issue, I 1st thought is you are hitting one old topic: you processor doesn't support ssse3 which meego default system was compiled with. Some Pentium dual core supports it, some not; (cat /proc/cpuinfo for ssse3) From: Karan Marjara [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, May 07, 2010 2:36 PM To: Zhang, Austin Cc: [email protected]; [email protected]; Yang, Yi Y Subject: Re: [MeeGo-dev] LIVE USB not working Hi Zhang, I have tried working the Live Usb in scenarios. 1. Lenovo G550 with Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor and the OS is Fedora 12. On this system I am able to get the boot screen of MeeGo but when select to boot Meego it shows the blank sceen and nothing else. 2. Dell Mini Netbook with Intel Atom processor and Moblin running on it. Live Usb is working and I am able to get the terminal screen. Live CD worked for me but Live USB did not. Perhaps I should file a bug or something? Also, while building the image using mic-image-creator it said that the package Core was not found. I deleted the "@Core" line from the .ks file and then it worked fine. Any ideas what I was doing wrong to have to do that?
