Hi,

One of my free-time projects is to put MeeGo on the Joggler, a 7"
touchscreen, Atom board.

To that respect, I wrote a small blog entry on how actually to add a
new board configuration to the MeeGo kernel packaging, based on the
Joggler as an example.

This is because it is a bit difficult initially how to do this in a
sane way. The intent is cooking this down to be included in
http://wiki.meego.com/MeeGo_Porting_Guide.

If you see any method errors or problems in my guide or ways to do
things, let me know. There is referenced gitorious commits which shows
exactly how to do things.

The hope is to motivate more people to make real MeeGo kernel packages
(and ports!), instead of rolling your own with tarballs and manual
injection of /lib/modules/version which isn't as elegant as a RPM
package you can integrate into a system.

Best regards,

interesting.. but why didn't you just use the generic atom kernel (called kernel-netbook for now) ? you don't need special kernels for x86 generally... one of the advantages ;-)
