I know the ones you mean.  They fit under so the dome pops out through the
hole and look like the original dato cap.  They should also have a
rubberised ring on the inside.  Fit them if you can, what the stop is the
strut inserts moving up too far.  You'll notice that the rubberised ring is
the same size as the bearing casing bit.

they would be the the top cover, but intead of been the push in platic type
on the 510 they are held in place with the with the strut studs and are
made of metal.
